The UFC’s welterweight title picture is getting a makeover with a new face in the ring, and he could be the one to break the old guard.
The main event is scheduled for Saturday night in Las Vegas.
While the winner of UFC 208 would likely be the new champion, who would face off against either the winner or a contender who has beaten him in the past, the winner would likely go on to defend the belt in front of a home crowd, with the loser likely to go home to his hometown.
The biggest question mark is the winner’s motivation.
He or she would have to show up to a live event and show that they are worthy of the title shot.
But the question is, what does a winner have to lose?
With the UFC’s current roster of fighters, most of whom are fighters on the UFC roster, the odds of a new champion appearing are virtually nil.
The UFC currently has 12 current fighters on its roster, and only three are expected to defend their belts.
With that in mind, who do you think will be the champion for the first time in a UFC 208 fight?
