First, make the doughnutsYou can buy a whole bunch of doughnuts in the freezer section of most grocery stores.
And if you have the time, you can make the recipe with just one batch of doughnut dough.
Just make the batter as follows:2.
Mix together the butter, sugar, flour, eggs and cornstarch3.
Add the egg mixture and flour mixture to the batter.4.
Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes.5.
Let cool for a few minutes before slicing, serving or freezing.6.
If you have an electric stove, set it to medium-high heat and add about 1/4 cup of boiling water.
If not, use a large saucepan of water and cook until it boils and bubbles.7.
Turn the heat off and add the water and stir.
Let the dough cool for about 10 minutes before making the filling.8.
Add more boiling water to the pan as needed.
For example, if you are making a large batch, add about 2 cups of boiling, half-and-half water and the doughnut batter mixture.9.
Bake for another 10 minutes at 375 to 400 degrees until it is a golden brown color and is slightly soft.
